Stephens Architecture offers qualified and experienced High End Residential Interior and Home Design. The approach is based in classical training in art and architecture and supplemented by knowledge gained in European travel.

The approach is illustrated through a discrete collection of distinctive design perspectives shown on each of the following pages. Each perspective is reponsive and custom tailored to client need by relating select client aspects of fine art to architecture.

    • Classical or Traditional Decor with a focus on finely articulate detail, careful interior appointments selections including tiles, finishes and lighting for kitchens and baths, along with especial attention to space, light and traditional furnishings;

    • Modern Decor with a focus on interior space, surface, color, collage and modernist detail/furnishings. Shown design includes modernist murals by Matisse as a means to expand, define and organize residential living space;

    • Contemporay Decor explores the connection between Art and Landscape. Contemporary design devices include free form wall and skylight designs by van der Rohe and Aalto and plan libre (Corbusier). Decors are fashioned around the need to carefully modulate light, color, tone in relation to Furnishings and Art;

    • Bespoke and Custom Tailored Designs with focus on traditional architectural languages including those in period spectific Italian, English and French traditions. Various elements in each design family arranged and chosen to create rich contemporary buildings and settings;
